Rich Nowak is the National Director of Business Development and a Principal at Syska Hennessy, based at the firm’s New York City headquarters, where he leads the growth of multiple practices and service offerings across the United States, including leading the firm’s approach to deferred maintenance. Since joining Syska in 2021, he has been instrumental in advancing strategic business development initiatives and strengthening client partnerships nationwide. Rich is a seasoned sales and business development leader with deep expertise in smart building technologies, building performance optimization, and systems integration. Prior to Syska, he spent 22 years at Siemens, most recently serving as Segment Head, Smart Buildings & Building Automation, North America, where he led regional sales teams, drove significant revenue growth, expanded cross-selling strategies, launched a smart building program, and earned multiple company awards.
Rich holds an MBA in Management Information Systems and Finance and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and resides in Madison, New Jersey.
