CyrusOne, Various Locations
Syska Hennessey Group provides commissioning services to CyrusOne, a leading provider of enterprise data center colocation services. Speed-to-market is a critical for CyrusOne, and Syska’s capabilities and resources from across the entire firm were engaged to provide commissioning services, which included:
CyrusOne Building 2, San Antonio, TX
This data center encompassed over 50,000 square feet of colocation space. The major critical equipment that Syska tested and commissioned included:
- (8) New 2,250 kW generators
- (1) New 750 kW generator
- (16) New 750 kW UPS modules
- (48) New STS/PDU’s
- (8) New air cooled chillers
- (24) New computer room air handling units
- (16) New Kyoto air handling units
- (4) Roof top units
This project was fully commissioned from level 2 start-up; level 3 pre-functional testing; level 4 major equipment functional testing and operational verification; and level 5 integrated systems testing in a little less than four weeks.
New Data Hall, Carrollton, TX
Syska provided commissioning services for a new 2.25MW expansion data center build-out. The critical infrastructure was part of a larger existing live facility build out. Systems were integrated into live BMS monitoring and controls, but the electrical systems were independent to the project.
The total data hall fit-out colocation space of 30,000+ square feet, with an additional 2.25MW to be installed at a later date for a density of 100w/square foot. The commissioning of the facility proved out redundancy and reliability of the systems to ensure concurrent maintainability and no single points of failure. We completed tests of all specified equipment, including:
- LV generators
- Mechanical/HVAC Systems:
- Air cooled chiller system with variable primary system
- CRAH units
- Air handling units
- BMS and monitoring system
New Data Hall, Cincinnati, OH
Syska provided commissioning services for the new data center build-out, encompassing new infrastructure for critical UPS power distribution and CRAH Unit cooling for 20,000 square feet of new colocation space with a total density of 100w/square foot. The commissioning of the facility proved out redundancy and reliability of the systems to ensure concurrent maintainability and no single points of failure. Syska developed and executed a commissioning plan and all functional tests of all specified equipment. Equipment commissioned included:
- Mechanical/HVAC Systems:
- Roof top units
- CRAH units
- Air Handling units
- BMS and monitoring system
- Electrical Systems:
- LV substation switchgear
- LV automatic transfer switches and switchboards
- UPS and battery systems
- PDU/RPP distribution with branch circuit monitoring
- Integrated BMS/EPMS
