CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate company, new regional headquarters in North Los Angeles is an extraordinary space.
To adaptively reuse a former nine-story Masonic Temple, a landmark building built in 1929 with original art deco features. CBRE teamed up with Fusion partners, Gensler and Syska, to transform a 1929 landmark into their extraordinary new North Los Angeles office.
Syska engineered the telecommunications, structured cabling and security solutions expressly to provide employees with the CBRE Workplace360 environment — a 100-percent free address setting with unassigned desks that employees change on a daily basis, while providing individual and collaborative work spaces.
One of the keys-to-success for the team was designing the wireless network and placing access points to provide optimal wireless coverage without compromising the intricate architectural look of the ceiling.
Unique features include:
- Seven-screen Liquid Galaxy which allows employees to take a client on an aerial tour anywhere in the world.
- Glass box meeting rooms.
- 9X15 foot windows providing views of the Santa Monica mountains from the western side of the building.
Syska remains engaged with the CBRE team as they continue to develop additional Workplace360 projects throughout the country.
