Wayne Hui
Principal
Wayne Hui is a principal in Syska Hennessy Group’s New York office, with 21 years of engineering experience in a wide range of project types. He is a leader in the firm’s New York higher education practice as well as its international mixed-use practice.
In 2013, the Lehman College New Science Building, one of Wayne’s projects, achieved the first LEED Platinum certification in The City University of New York system. In the past, Wayne has designed many laboratory projects for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and he currently oversees a key educational client relationship with Fordham University. His notable high-rise mixed-use projects include the Lotte World Tower, a 123-story skyscraper—one of the tallest buildings in the world—and Hyundai Udong I’Park, a five-building complex that includes both residential and commercial office uses as well as an athletic and recreation facility.
Wayne holds a MS in mechanical engineering from Manhattan College as well as a MS in telecommunications and information management from Polytechnic University. When he’s not problem-solving at work, Wayne enjoys photographing beautiful landscapes and loves visiting national parks. He considers his family his greatest achievement and says his wife is “the person I admire most.”
