Mike Terrigno, PE, LEED AP
Principal
Mike Terrigno has over 12 years of project management experience and practice area leadership for critical facilities. He started his career as an electrical engineer with Syska Hennessy Group, focusing on critical facilities, infrastructure, commercial interiors as well as information and communications technology (ICT)-related projects. He has managed a variety of multifaceted projects totaling over three million sf for banking and government clients encompassing healthcare, military, data center and office facilities.
For Mike, working as an engineer for Syska means more than just a career—it means living up to a family tradition. “My grandfather was a lifelong Syska employee,” he says. “I am proud to follow in his footsteps, both in the engineering field and specifically with Syska.”
As site leader for Syska’s Washington, DC, office, Mike oversees the growing office, which provides high-performance engineering, consulting and commissioning services. He remains focused on guiding and growing the office’s dedicated team, and particularly enjoys working on government-specific projects, explaining that “these significant and challenging projects are a privilege to work on because we impact important areas like national safety and cyber security through our design efforts.”
Mike holds a BEE degree from Auburn University. In addition, he is a LEED Accredited Professional and a licensed professional engineer. In his spare time, he enjoys participating in recreational team sports, jogging and spending time with his wife and three young boys.
