Bob Stickney, Associate AIA
Bob Stickney, who brings 20 years of experience in the industry, is a principal in the Dallas office. Bob joined Syska Hennessy Group to spearhead Syska’s workplace practice throughout the Texas region. Under his leadership, the Dallas office has grown from two employees in early 2006 to more than 30 employees today.
His role is multifaceted: from successful execution of a wide variety of projects across multiple practice areas to guiding his team to strive for excellence. Bob is passionate about client relationships, and invests in mentoring colleagues to develop their relationship-building skills.
His ability to visualize a project from start to finish enables difficult building system problems to become very clear and concise. For example, Bob was instrumental in designing CPS Energy’s 75,000-sf mission critical facility Project ECHO by working collaboratively with the entire building team and helping to establish four guiding principles that would serve as the basis of design documents. The entire team translated the basic requirements into a state-of-the-art facility on a modest budget. As Bill Badger, project manager, CPS Energy, noted, “We would sketch out ideas on a dry erase board or over a web conference. In short order, those ideas were integrated into the design and construction of the building. For CPS Energy, this was the perfect integration of owner, designer and builder. ECHO is the tangible result of the best teamwork on the planet.”
Bob has a BS in environmental design from Texas A&M University, and is actively involved with 7×24 Exchange International and the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Bob, who has been happily married to his wife, Lisa, for more than 25 years, loves spending time with his 21-year-old daughter and 19-year-old twins, a boy and a girl. He stays active by playing golf and hiking.
