Associate Partner

Joe Cossentino has 20 years of experience as a mechanical engineer in vertical transportation design and modernization and as an equipment specialist for elevator, escalator and moving walkways for a variety of infrastructure projects. His extensive experience in project management includes all aspects of mechanical engineering design and interdisciplinary coordination, including interface of vertical transportation equipment with mechanical, architectural, structural, fire protection, plumbing and electrical systems. He has managed over 80 vertical transportation projects in both the United States and abroad, and has worked on several mega-projects as the lead mechanical engineer, including the $1.4 billion JFK Airport American Airlines Terminal 8 and the $3.7 billion World Trade Center Transportation Hub in New York City.

Joe’s talents go far beyond engineering; he’s also a classically trained musician from Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he received a Master’s in guitar. Additionally, Joe has written several papers on theoretical physics on topics such as models that incorporate gravity and the electro-weak and strong forces of nature into the Standard Model.

When Joe isn’t writing algorithmic programs for the automated trading of foreign currencies, he’s spending his free time in New York with his wife and three children, who, following in their father’s footsteps, attend the Music Advancement Program at the Juilliard School in Lincoln Center.
