In 2004, Syska opened its Richmond office to support the critical-facility market in central Virginia, and rapidly expanded to take on numerous projects in other sectors, including healthcare and higher education. We’re small but mighty: We support our clients “on the ground,” but we also give them access to hundreds of engineers and designers on a national — and even international — level.
We’ve worked on many high-profile projects in Virginia, including the renovation of Augusta Health’s Intensive Care Unit in Fishersville; the Pocahontas State Office Building in Richmond, which houses the Virginia State Senate and House of Representatives; a long list of healthcare and pharmacy projects for Virginia Commonwealth University; and more than 25 individual projects to upgrade facilities and infrastructure on Virginia State University’s campus.
Projects include:
The capital of Virginia, Richmond is one of the oldest cities in the United States. It boasts outstanding food, a fascinating history, and an ideal environment for outdoor activities, including biking and whitewater rafting. Our professionals love living here, and we’re eager to make the area an even better one. To do so, we participate in annual food drives, a mentorship program to help local firms work on international school projects, as well as some initiatives with our SENSE team.
