To Our Clients & Partners,

We hope you had a restful and enjoyable Memorial Day.  Since this holiday represents the unofficial start of the summer season, we thought it would be a good time to update you on the steps we’re taking to ensure a smooth return to the “new normal.”

Over the past few months, we’ve prioritized business continuity and the health and safety of our employees, clients, and partners.  That meant adopting teleworking policies, offering remote field-testing, and using virtual technologies to replace in-person meetings wherever possible.

Now, as states are lifting lockdowns, we are slowly and carefully reopening our offices.  Our Jacksonville, Dallas, Charlotte and Raleigh offices reopened this week joining our Shanghai office which opened almost two months ago. The list will expand in the coming weeks, but, again, we are proceeding with caution.  It’s clear that the situation requires ongoing monitoring, and we are fully prepared to do so.

There will be adjustments, of course.  We expect that guidelines on social distancing will remain in effect for a while.  To support them, we are rearranging our office environments, allowing flexible start times, and continuing our use of MS remote teams for project coordination with our clients.  We can not lose sight of our ultimate goal:  to maintain the health of our clients and employees so that we can uphold the tradition of creating exceptional environments together.

We recognize that you may face similar challenges as you reopen offices.  With this in mind, we published a set of COVID-19 technical resources for our clients, and we are presenting educational seminars to help our colleagues in the a/e/c community transition back to offices and work sites.

When we design systems, we focus on resiliency.  Now we’re applying that concept to recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.  We can promote resiliency amid uncertainty by working together and leveraging the power of teams.  Thanks for being part of ours.
