COVID-19 Communication to our Clients and Partners
To Our Clients & Partners,
We realize the rising cases of COVID-19, and the multiple outlets for news, leaves all of us in uncertain times. At Syska Hennessy we take the trust of our client and partner firms seriously and our ability to perform our work seriously.
For the safety of our team members and industry partners, at every Syska Hennessy office we have instituted CDC and WHO recommendations for our employees. Some of these recommendations include sanitizing stations, health advisory posters, additional janitorial crews and a protocol for presumptive, as well as, confirmed cases of the virus. We have also instituted a visitor policy as well as the use of Skype for mobile meetings to mitigate the need for groups to congregate. All international travel has currently been suspended. Any exception has to be approved by our executive committee. Employees traveling internationally for personal reasons need to notify our human resources team and are subject to foreign country screening processes, and dependent on Visiting Country Risk levels, as noted by the CDC, may be required to self-quarantine upon their return.
In light of recent events, our leadership team has enhanced both internal and external business continuity plans. Part of this enhanced plan includes mobilizing a large remote workforce over the next couple of days, office by office. These tests are designed to shake out any individual or systematic issues we may encounter in supporting such a large remote workforce as this may be needed in the days and weeks ahead.
When it comes to our robust engineering operations, our team has enabled all users to be able to effectively work from home and continue our thorough testing of our resilient IT systems. In addition, our IT and BIM leaders have conducted meetings with all employees to make sure they understand the process to most efficiently work remotely.
The health of our employees, our colleagues, our family and friends is as important to us as the internal health of our buildings. As a multi-disciplinary firm intimately involved in the design of all types of building systems, we will be sure to keep you informed of any new and important information vital to our industry. Please continue to lean on Syska Hennessy as your valued partner and we will be sure to share industry best practices.
Again your trust in our ability to perform work is constantly being monitored as the situation evolves and we are making every effort possible to prepare for every eventuality.
Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
