Summer Internship Program

Our summer internship program offers a 10-week training and development opportunity to undergraduate students pursuing an engineering degree. This program provides a range of engineering concepts while working alongside our project teams. It is Syska’s diverse portfolio of markets and innovative projects that makes the perfect setting for a valuable learning experience in design engineering.

During the internship, interns are paired with a mentor, who will offer guidance and support in addition to the project teams. While participating in the program, interns also participate in virtual live learning sessions, project site visits (where opportunities arise), and hands on learning.

The virtual live sessions are broken up into presentations and a Q & A forum. Through these open conversations, interns interact with their peers on a national scale and hear the real-life experiences, in engineering design, from the firm’s thought leaders on various subject matters. Each session is based on a different discipline/specialty as follows:

  • CAD/BIM Modeling
  • Sustainable Solutions in Design
  • Building Electrical Power Components
  • Fundamental of Plumbing and Fire Suppression
  • Fundamentals of HVAC Systems

We take pride in expanding and broadening the knowledge of our interns so that we can equip them with a strong foundation as they get ready to kick start their engineering career. At the conclusion of the program, interns can reflect on their accomplishments and demonstrate their presentation skills by presenting the highlights of their experience at Syska to their fellow interns, project teams and office leadership.
