Building Information Modeling (BIM) solutions are now available for individual disciplines such as architecture, MEP engineering, structural engineering, and construction. A growing number of third-party developers are now building supporting technologies for BIM, which helps extend their capabilities to cover new aspects of building design and construction, such as operational models.
We are also discovering that early conflict resolution and greater interdisciplinary collaboration is helping to reduce RFIs and change orders during construction. Simply put; BIM offers the opportunity to reduce construction costs!
