Warner Bros. Building 151 - International TV Distribution Group
Syska Hennessy Group has been working with Warner Bros. (WB) for nearly a decade. We have provided consulting and design services on a wide range of projects. We had the opportunity to work with WB's Environmental Initiative team on the renovation of Building 151, the new home of their International Television Distribution Group.
All ready on board for the building system's engineering, we were asked to provide LEED Consulting and Documentation services due to WB deciding to be part of a LEED pilot program called LEED for Commercial Interiors (CI).
The tenant improvement project was registered with the U.S. Green Building Council under the CI Pilot Program, and consists of four floors of office type occupancy totaling approximately 56,000 sf. The space includes renovation of private offices, office space areas, conference rooms, pantries and IT rooms. Also part of the project was some modifications to the base building systems, including a replacement of the existing boiler plant and associated controls and the installation of new rooftop air handlers and associated controls.
The project was awarded the LEED Silver rating and is the first green building in the entertainment industry. It also received the 2005 Governor's Environmental and Economic Leadership Award in the Sustainable Practices or Facilities category, the State of California's highest environmental honor.
