Nicholas Gallucci, PE
Nick Gallucci brings buildings to life through innovative engineering design and grit. He welcomes the challenges that come from demanding and multi-discipline projects. He enjoys working with clients to develop prototype designs that complement the architectural vision.
As a member of Syska Hennessy Group’s Southern California operations committee, Nick helps run the firm’s Los Angeles office. His particular passion and expertise is building the office’s culture and coordinating work share between offices. He is intent to grow the office through marketing, beyond MEP and its design services.
Nick’s recent experience includes large, professional sport venues, higher education projects, convention centers, performing art centers, studios, central utility plants and infrastructure, civic buildings, office space and hotels. Additionally, Nick has been involved in the design of high-performance project types, including LEED-certified commercial and institutional buildings.
One of Nick’s most challenging projects was the Rose Bowl Stadium renovation and improvement. The project schedule limited construction between football seasons—yielding multiple, multi-prime construction packages that took place over five years. The various bid packages needed to seamlessly work together and meet the requirements of the various stakeholders/stadium tenants. Nick helped coordinate, define and execute the project’s master plan, which defined project phasing and sequence of construction scope. Nick also managed Syska’s MEP, IT, security and vertical transportation design services.
Nick holds a BS in electrical engineering from San Jose State University and is a licensed professional engineer. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), volunteers as a mentor for ACE Los Angeles and speaks at local high school mentor events. During his spare time he enjoys being outdoors, scuba diving, hiking and camping. Nick and his wife welcomed their first child in February 2017.
