Michael O. Adebanjo
Michael Adebanjo is an associate partner in the Los Angeles office, with 22 years of experience as a consulting mechanical engineer on projects ranging from major renovation to new construction, and with a particular focus on corporate interiors in Southern California.
Mike, who joined Syska Hennessy Group in 1998, provides clients with solutions for their interior fit-outs and associated needs, including reviewing leases, design options and construction budgets.
Mike has created and implemented data-driven tools that utilize building cooling and heating values on a square-foot basis to reduce the amount of time spent on calculations so that the team can focus on design, production and meeting the project’s deadlines.
To accelerate the project and more efficiently collaborate with the architect, located in a different time zone, on Westfield’s corporate office relocation to Century Plaza Towers in Century City, Los Angeles, Mike created a plan to shift project milestones and leverage Westfield’s connections with the city. This collaboration helped secure an accelerated plan review, saving time during the plan check process, providing additional design time and ultimately accomplishing the original schedule.
Mike holds BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering from Loyola Marymount University. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
When he’s not accomplishing clients’ goals, Mike loves playing ping-pong, basketball and DJ’ing events and making re-mixed tapes to develop his craft as a DJ.
